IRC SENIOR GEOSCIENTIST
At
Eni, we are seeking a
Senior Geoscientist for the team at
Eni Mexico located in
Mexico City, Mexico.

You will play a key role in supporting the assessment of hydrocarbon resources in the Mizamtec concessions and assisting in formulating exploration strategies following company standards.


As part of
the exploration division at Eni Mexico, your responsibilities will include**:

  • Establishing the regional geological framework of sedimentary basins by analyzing and integrating geological and geophysical data.
  • Strengthening exploration knowledge through scouting and monitoring activities to aid in the identification and selection of exploration opportunities.
  • Mapping out geological features to identify and characterize exploration plays, followed by their selection and technical ranking.
  • Modeling the geological aspects relevant to hydrocarbon generation and accumulation by integrating specialized studies.
  • Conducting integrated interpretation of seismic data on a regional and target scale to identify structural and/or stratigraphic traps.
  • Integrating geological evaluations of seismic data with insights from main seismic attributes analysis.
  • Combining the seismic/geological model with nonseismic geophysical data.
  • Defining objectives for geophysical data acquisition and recommending specialized studies execution.
  • Supporting specialized services in well planning and assessing results during intermediate and final phases.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in English, with Italian knowledge considered a bonus
  • Drilling & Completion expertise (Drilling Activities).
  • Exploration skills (Basin Assessment & Screening; Geological data Integr. Interpretation; Geophysical data Interpretation; Prospect Generation & Evaluation).
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Geology (Basin Geology; Experimental Petrophysicist; Geochemistry; Petrography; Petrophysics; Reservoir Characterization; Rock Mechanics; Sedimentology; Stratigraphy; Structural Geology; Well Data Acquisition & Evaluation).
  • Geophysics expertise (AVT & Geophysical Interpretation; Cartography, Topography & Geodesy; Depth Imaging; Seismic Stratigraphy & Reservoir Seismic; Velocity studies).
  • Proficiency in Global aspects (Data Management; E&P Business Management; Economic Evaluation; Organizational Processes; R&D; Reserves; Risk Analysis & Management; Tender & Contracting; Workflow & Best Practices).
  • HSEQR knowledge (Integrated HSE Processes; Safety).
  • Project Management skills (General Project Management).
  • Reservoir experience: Reservoir Modeling, Well Operations and Production Optimization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc).
- experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
