At the Tijuana IT Center of Excellence, you will form part of one of many Scrum Teams that focus on delivering software solutions to multiple Business Partners across Thermo Fisher's divisions worldwide.

We are looking to hire individuals with experience in software development and integration, and who can work with us in the next wave of technical challenges using the latest cloud-based, big-data, and rich analytics tool sets.

As a Software Engineer you will:

Be responsible for initial design and development of new software and/or extensive software revisions.
Define technical requirements and build highlevel architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
Rely on extensive experience and judgment to understand sophisticated problems and resolve them efficiently.
Use prior knowledge and experience to provide functional and technical support and leadership to colleagues.
Participate in training and orienting new software engineers as they join the team.
A passion for building extraordinary software solutions that improve lives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English
Spanish)
The ability to document artifacts and processes then explain them to others.
Motivate and collaborate with others, leading by example, holding themselves and others accountable.

Minimum qualifications:

BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalently technical fields.
Experience with C#,.Net Core, and WPF.
Experience with software development practices: Agile, TDD, DDD, CI/CD, Swarming.
Web Service design experience: SOAP Request/Response handling, authentication, REST APIs.
Experience with AWS.
Experience handling databases with a large volume of information.
Experience with network communication standards like TCP/IP and RS232 (HL7 and ASTM is a plus).
