The Role:
We are entrepreneurial, fast
- moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.
What You Will Do:
- Fully conversant with the Company's safety management system
- Ensure all Company logs/forms are utilized and distributed as prescribed
- Implementing and preserving all corrective action plans issued during internal and external audits conducted on the ship
- Sending ashore to the attention of the DPA "closedout" copies of the ISM-CAR Report and ISM-Internal Audit Report forms
- Any Master onboard the ship, at the time a nonconformity is corrected, is authorized to close out the nonconformity or close out the total audit if all the corrections have been implemented.
- Motivating the vessels' crew by personally promoting Company policies and procedures, communicating orders and instructions to the crew in a clear and concise manner
- Documenting and communicating to all crew members, their individual job descriptions, and responsibilities in an emergency
- Verifying all personnel have their original documentation (license, medical certificate, etc.) upon arrival to the vessel and verify that the documents remain valid on a monthly basis thereafter, the master shall verify all crew members onboard have appropriate license, training and familiarity for that specific vessel
- Assigning duties to qualified ship personnel with respect to the safety management manual
- Reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses to the Company
- Review of the safety management system annually but not to exceed 364 days between submissions.
- Ship Security Officer or delegate to qualified officer
What you offer:
- Experience on similar size/type vessel
- DP certification
- Extensive Z-Drive Experience
- Previous experience as a lead Master
