**Tool Room General Supervisor

  • ASP**Maintain in optimal conditions and ensure the availability of molds for production through the correct execution of preventive maintenance, as well as the effectiveness of corrective maintenance and the manufacture of spare parts.

Responsibilities/Skills

  • The Tooling superintendent must have the ability to lead his or her work team to reach the goals established by the KPI ́s indicators (Down Time, PM compliance, SMED, MTTR, MTBF, Safety, etc.)
  • Schedule and comply 100% with the annual Preventive Maintenance plan for the tools and tool room equipment. Ensure followup to the activities of the mold workshop (Preventive and corrective maintenance, engineering changes, adjusts, welding, redesign, improves, modifications, etc.
  • Maintain the correct administration of the injection molds (history of failures, list of spare parts, etc.) filling correctly the records in daily basis.
  • Have control of equipment spare parts. Ensuring the purchase of spare parts, consumables, etc. in compliance with established standards.
  • Continuous improvement management in tool room department to ensure results that will permit a consistent and reliable performance of maintenance tooling safer, more accurate maintenances and more effective, increase efficiency throughout the tooling shop, providing faster service and response available to maintain production molds.
  • Create and provide work instructions for all activities related to the maintenance (PM & CM) of the molds.
  • Develop in multiskills to all current and new employees.
  • Participate and propose solutions to quality problems, as well as defects or line down time and confirm compliance and effectiveness of corrective actions taken in previous discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with security systems within the area (LOTO, OHSAS, Risk Analysis, Control Plans, Government Regulations). Comply with environmental program activities in a timely and correct manner in order to create of healthy work environment for the fulfillment of the objectives.
  • Generate and implement productivity ideas within the organization. Comply with the fulfil environmental, safety and health legal requirements set out in the legislation and regulations of our customers and other applicable stakeholder's requirements to whom we are related to our activities and products, as well as those EHS requirements established by the Company.

Required Profile

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years or up of experience similar position in tool room department in a plastic injection plant. (Preferred
  • Automotive industry). Inglish Intermediate

Skills/Knowledge Requirements

  • Launching new projects.
  • IATF16949 knowledge.
  • Management of several projects at a time
  • Coordination of resources to meet the goals of the plant Available to travel

Technical/ Business Knowledge
Ability to read/create Technical Drawings and Specifications.
