Job Description Summary:
Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Americas, the Director, Legal, Mexico heads a small team of legal professionals supporting the PayPal Mexico business in various corporate commercial, product, and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate for this role should be mature, self-motivated, independent, and well-organized with excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in both Spanish and English (read/write/speak) is required. Business acumen, strategic thinking, creativity, strong project leadership, communication skills, and multi-tasking capabilities are essential. The successful candidate must be qualified to practice law in Mexico with at least 12 years of experience in a reputable law firm or equivalent in-house role. Demonstrated expertise in Mexican financial services law and experience dealing with regulators such as the Central Bank of Mexico (BANXICO), the National Banking and Securities Commission of Mexico (CNBV), and the Federal Commission for Economic Competition of Mexico (COFECE).
