- Edit and enhance video content using industry-standard software, ensuring high production quality and adherence to branding guidelines.
- Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects to enhance video storytelling.
- Manage video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio devices.
- Capture high-quality photographs that effectively showcase CIMMYT's research activities, events, and key personnel.
- Utilize various photography techniques, equipment, and lighting setups to produce visually compelling images.
- Edit and retouch photographs to enhance their visual impact and ensure consistency with CIMMYT's brand guidelines.
- Organize and maintain an organized database of visual assets, including metadata and captions, for easy retrieval and usage.
- Collaborate with the communications team and other stakeholders to understand their multimedia requirements and objectives.
- Conceptualize, storyboard, write scripts in English and Spanish, and propose multimedia projects that effectively communicate CIMMYT's scientific work and achievements.
- Stay up-to-date with multimedia trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve the quality and impact of CIMMYT's visual content.
- Adapt multimedia materials for various platforms, including websites, social media, presentations, and publications.
- Manage multiple multimedia projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, scientists, communications professionals, and external vendors, to gather requirements and execute projects effectively.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise on multimedia best practices, tools, and resources to colleagues within CIMMYT.
- Bachelor's degree in multimedia production, videography, photography, visual arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience in video production, including scripting, shooting, editing, and post-production processes.
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Strong photography skills with a keen eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.
- Proficient in photo editing software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.
- Excellent knowledge of videography equipment, including cameras, audio devices, and lighting setups.
- Familiarity with multimedia project management and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities, with the ability to translate ideas into visually appealing multimedia content.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
