The ICG Regulatory Reports Head is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals.Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function.
Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Excellent commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
- Lead and manage a staff of regulatory report preparers with accountability for hiring, training, talent development and executing performance recommendations for supervised staff.
- Delivery the regulatory reports that are under its administration in a timely and accurate manner. Escalating to businesses, those circumstances where a report or data risk has been found and offering datarelated advice.
- Perform as accountable executive of regulatory reports preparation in interactions with Mexican Regulators, towards regulatory reporting findings and concerns.
- Provide support during regulatory exams including the coordination, explanation, and delivery of requested information by Mexican Regulators.
- Build and maintain relationships with other functional heads, work in consultation with Compliance, Finance, Legal, Risk, Operations & Technology to address regulatory requirements and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate and execute communication forums or committees with the Senior Management
- Persuade and influence others through solid communication and diplomacy skills.
- Collaborate with the definition of blueprints and roadmaps for assuring compliance with the local regulation and regulatory commitments.
- Utilize a solid understanding of Citi's organization, infrastructure, policies, and business strategy to facilitate the implementation of enterprisewide program and resolution of corrective action plans.
- Coordinate largescale projects/programs involving geographically or functionally diverse stakeholders.
The academic background expected (but not limited to) is: bachelor degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Computational / Electronic Systems Engineering or Industrial / Mechanics Engineering.
Desired comprehension of the Mexican Banking Prudential Regulation, Proficiency Certifications or Master's degree is a valuable plus; as well as prior exposure to initiatives with regulatory interaction would be beneficial.
