We are currently seeking a Welding Inspector to join our project team based in Monterrey, Mexico


About the Job
Main Accountabilities

  • Verify Contractor has W&NDE Services reviewed and accepted procedures.
  • Verify Contractor is using personnel qualified to the process being used
  • Review radiography set ups against project approved NDE procedures
  • Review UT, RT, MT, and PT reports for correct interpretations
  • Review radiographic films for correct interpretations
  • Understand, monitor, and report, as required, automatic UT techniques and digital radiography
  • Provide welding and NDE assistance/guidance to Yard Team
  • Verify materials, workmanship, and specification/code requirements
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on the Yard welding program
  • Verify and monitor calibration of NDE equipment
  • Work closely with Contractor to ensure required reports are completed in a timely, quality manner
  • Prepare Nonconformance Reports on nonconforming items (work, reports, activities);
  • Assist with resolution of corrective actions as required
  • Prepare Surveillance Reports related to work performed by Contractor and its Subcontractor(s).
  • The Welding Inspector leads by example and promotes HSES policies and procedures and enforces applicable procedures set up for the Yard.

About you
We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:


Qualifications:


  • AWS CWI, CSWIP, or equivalent
  • Level II Visual Inspection
  • Level II Radiographic film interpretation

Experience:

10-15 Years (minimum) experience in petrochemical industry, preferably LNG

Familiar with Carbon Steel, Low Temperature Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel piping systems

Inspects, reviews, analyzes and reports Subcontractor welding and NDE production reports.


Languages:
Fluent English
