Key responsibilities:


  • Proactively track and identify new and/or changes in laws, rules and regulations pertaining to FATCA and CRS.
  • Communicate the corresponding regulatory changes about FATCA and CRS and an assessment of the potential impact of said changes in the policies and procedures on the Group' clients.
  • Oversee the different businesses throughout the Group on the implementation of the regulatory changes.
  • Oversight on the information prepared by the different businesses about the reportable information for FATCA and CRS before the Ministry.
  • Coordination of the filing before the ministry of the FATCA and CRS annual reports.
  • Attention to Ministry' formal and informal requirements, interaction with officials and thirdparty vendors involved in the reporting process.
  • Oversight of the processes and controls implemented within the business to guarantee the FATCA and CRS compliance.
  • Preparation of compliance reports to be signed by the CEO and report to global teams based upon data provided from different sources.
  • Participate in technical meetings with global teams to discuss the Country performance and establishment of remediation plans and oversee the implementation within the business.
  • Provide continuous assistance and advisory to the different businesses about the FATCA and CRS compliance (documentation, monitoring, reporting) with technical solid grounds and a practical approach.
  • Partnering with the businesses to enhance the processes currently established to increase the compliance levels based upon technical grounds and propose achievable alternatives that meet the prudent and feasible criteria.
  • Coordination of different stakeholders of mid to high seniority levels of to compile and analyze large volumes of data and perform thorough reviews and challenge to the businesses.
  • Present to the senior management periodically the results of the oversight process, current status of the client's portfolio by Business unit and the implemented actions for remediation of the gaps.
  • Ensure that the Businesses/Functions fully understand the FATCA and CRS regulations and requirements.

Non-negotiable requirements:


  • Proven technical knowledge in the FATCA and CRS local and international regulation and its practical implementation.
  • FATCA and layouts Construction, modification, and auditing.
  • Intermediate to advanced English level (written and oral).
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Proven experience in the interaction with tax Authorities, including the preparation of formal communication and attention of audits/formal information requests.
  • Preparation of reports to be signed by the CEO.
  • Interaction and preparation of relevant materials to be discussed with Global Tax teams.
  • Background in the onboarding processes of Corporations and individuals.
  • Dealing with the senior management, present the results of reports and provide accurate answers based upon the information prepared.
  • Proven experience in issue management, controls implementation, testing, monitoring, implementation of mitigating and correction actions/plans.
  • Proven experience in assessing the potential tax consequences of noncompliance with FATCA and CRS regulations.

Qualifications:


  • 610 years of relevant experience
  • Leadership and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unforeseen changes in expectations or requirements.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Knowledge of annexes 25 and 25Bis of the regulations
  • Solid experience in FATCA and CRS regulation
