Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

Plan, design, select, execute, and follow up team KPIs, trainings, 1 on 1 meetings, IDPs, career tracking and team buildings. As well as, creating strategies for the continuous development of the team.
Project Management. Ensures quality of development by closely monitoring programming standards are being adhered to by staff including coding standards, change process and documentation.
Meet with business managers to discuss problems and negotiate prioritization of problems based on financial impact to the business and alignment with strategic direction.
Understand and create highprofile report timelines, work closely to developer if needed. Function as lead developer when the position is open.

Skills and Requirements:

Level of formal education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent
Area of study: Computer Science or related field
Years of experience: Five to seven years.
Type of experience: In analysis and reporting, management or similar roles
Special certifications or Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency with the AutoZone business methodology, understanding the needs of the business and helping upper management to take decisions.

Technical skills may include experience with one or more of:

Programming Languages (e.g. Java, C, C++)
Databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Informix, DB2)
BI tools (e.g. Talend, WebFocus)
Web developing (e.g. HTML 5, CSS, JS, Python)
Expert problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills.
Deep expertise in at least one business area. Store Operations, Commercial, Loss Prevention, Human Resources, Maintenance and/or IT.
Subject matter expertise across multiple functional areas that help span the enterprise knowledge.
Presentation, facilitation and writing skills.
Project management estimating, planning, controlling, and execution.
High communication skills to debate and present ideas to upper management. (Directors, VPs, SVPs, EVPs)
Is the final authority on technical questions within their domain and is a regular source of technical supervision.
Maintain and get approval from business SSC partners for staffing budget.
Requires frequent persuasion or influencing of others in and outside the team. May assign and review the work of others. Requires good interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.
