Continuous improvement engineer

PPG Industries:

As a Continuous improvement engineer you will participate and improve operations analysis in search of opportunities for improvement, strengthening the development and understanding of systems.

You will report to the Continuous improvement Manager.

Key Responsibilities

You will provide manufacturing support, including investigating, and performing root cause analysis on products and with production and take corrective action.
Support analysis to product and process to determine corrective action and coordinate repair.
You will collaborate with design teams and new tooling.
You will examine operations, assembly, and equipment to determine time or quality revisions and suggest improvements.
Will have priorities including reduction of setup time, variation reduction and an overall improvement in process capability and consistency.
Implement, calculates and reports information on operation indicators.

Qualifications

BS Degree in Engineering and 3+ years related experience in process reengineering or similar Continuous Improvement training / background.
Education
2+ years' experience in manufacturing or distribution processes and solid experience in process mapping (VSM, block diagrams, SIPOC)
Knowledge in six sigma, process simulation and big data
Intermediate Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
