Job description

  • Report to Goods Flow Manager and assist in monitoring, control development and execution of logistics/goods flow action plans.
  • To secure efficient goods flow by having a close cooperation with the commercial partners of sales and communication & interior design in the areas of sales space management.
  • To plan, organize and monitor store goods flow process from receiving to sales locations replenishment; fulfilling the goal of being ready prior before store opening.
  • Contribute to the range management process by adhering efficient with smooth phase in and phase out procedures (space dimensioning and goods allocation).
  • To optimize utilization of existing store logistics capacities (space, equipment and people) and goods allocation and planning of resources.
  • Responsible for optimization of total supply chain costs by monitoring and giving inputs about deviations from "Global Service Agreement DS/Retail". Thus impacting loading quality and arrival precision.

Qualification

  • Work closely with the goods flow team to secure correct usage of shortterm capacity of the store in order to maximize efficient logistics operations by considering space, equipment and people.
  • Influence and lead the goods flow coworkers within the assigned area of responsibility to secure the highest goods availability and enable customer order picking at all times at the lowest possible cost.
  • Identify, recruit, retain and develop the many talents in the goods flow team to secure a diverse, competent team that can execute its assigned responsibilities with confidence and secure future succession.
  • Contribute to positioning IKEA retailers and the IKEA Brand as responsible partners in lowering environmental impact by taking relevant actions that contribute to achieving longterm profitability in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
  • Live the IKEA Values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA Culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially the goods flow team.
  • Ensure that the goods flow team works in compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety, security and the environment.
  • Contribute with relevant goods flow input and feedback to the store business plan and logistics action plan. Ensure that these actions are implemented in the inbound and outbound goods flow processes.
