Job Location(s): Apodaca, MXWe have an opportunity for a GL Accountant to join our diverse team.

The GL Accountant is a key position within the Finance Community and is responsible for general ledger processes, fixed asset accounting and validation and analysis of financial results for multiple locations.

The GL Accountant partners with local, regional and global Finance colleagues to ensure an accurate and timely month-end close.

You will work closely with a broad range of employees within all levels of the organization on continuous improvement and other relevant projects.


Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Record, verify daily operations and business within General ledger activates and local finance support,
  • Preparation and review of journal entries, calculating provisions related to periodend activities,
  • Preparation and execution of month end closing activities for non complex entities, Fixed Assets handling, Balance sheet reconciliation, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting and operational guidelines, as well as IFRS and local statutory GAAP
  • Overseeing bank accounts incl. unapplied and unreconciled Items
  • Checking and analyzing SAP details on an ongoing basis to be able to catch any potential posting errors or process issues,
  • Intercompany and loan reconciliations, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions,
  • Cooperation with local accounting teams,
  • Comply with standards, policies and procedures defined.

Background & Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics or recognized accounting qualification
  • 2+ years of demonstrated Finance and Accounting work experience, understanding of accounting principles
  • Good skills (B2) in spoken and written English
  • Practical knowledge of integrated ERP system
  • Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with deadlines and stress situations
  • Willingness to learn and increase responsibilities
  • Teamwork and ability to work in changing environment with different cultures
  • Customer focus and good communication skills
  • Ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Proactivity and analytical skills
