Aruba M&A Integration and Compliance Project Manager

This role has been designated as 'Edge', which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

Aruba M&A and Compliance PMO team is a small group of very fun and talented individuals who program manage integrations of acquisitions into Aruba Business Unit and HPE, as well as Aruba's various compliance programs such as Business Continuity Planning, Records Retention and others.

M&A Integration is the biggest part of our responsibilities, where we manage integration of business processes and IT infrastructure of the acquired company into those of Aruba Business Unit and HPE.

Aruba's M&A Integration and Compliance PMO team sits within Transformation & PMO organization and reports to the Chief of Staff to EVP & GM or Aruba.

M&A Integration Project Manager will be part of IMO (Integration Management Office) taking guidance from the overall Integration Lead and Business Day One Lead.

The scope of the role includes working with the work stream Leads of the Integration project to provide support for acquisition overall integration and execution of Integration Management Office (IMO) programs and governance processes.

The position requires that the individual brings sound experience in business transformation and multi-functional operating roles to develop the integration execution plan, and ensure that the integration delivers business results.


This role requires very strong collaboration and communication skills, a broad understanding of HPE operations across multiple functions, and good working relationships at both the executive, and individual contributor levels.


_ How you'll make your mark:_

  • Project Managing M&A Integration for acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic projects, as part of Integration Management Office and with the guidance from Integration and Business Day One Lead
  • Developing and maintaining a plan for Business Day One execution
  • Determining the level and depth of Integration with input from sponsors and teams
  • Developing governance process and communication plans to keep stakeholders updated; this requires identifying and establishing partnerships with stakeholders in the business and functions
  • Developing and maintaining a tracker for Business Requirements Documents and Change Requests for IT, for any IT development required to integrate an acquisition
  • Creating and managing detailed Integration Plan of Record
  • Monitoring status and quickly resolving issues throughout the Integration process
  • Ensuring that HPE has maximized the value of the deal and realized all synergies
  • Executing After Action (Lessons Learned) Reviews of each deal to ensure key learnings are institutionalized for future transactions
  • Contributing and develop M&A best practices for the company and assisting in developing structured integration frameworks and playbooks to ensure consistency and repeatability of the process
  • Hosting and leading crossfunctional Integration meetings and workshops with attendees across multiple geographies
  • Project Managing smaller initiatives/ projects within the Integration as needed, such as providing PM support for one of the functional work streams
  • Project Managing other compliance initiatives for Aruba, such as Business Continuity Planning or Records Retention Program

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in M&A integration or large scale business transformation programs
  • Previous leadership/project management experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and executive presentation skills
  • Proven track record of delivering results through influencing crossfunctionally in highly matrixed program structures
  • Demonstrated ability to develop overall strategic direction while also maintaining detailed oversight of program execution
