HEAT EXCHANGER MFG TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER

Job Description:

Carrier is a leading provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, building controls and automation, and fire and security systems leading to safer, smarter, sustainable, and high-performance buildings.

We are seeking qualified individuals to join our Carrier Advanced Technology group engineering team.

This position will be located in our Monterrey, Mexico campus, but will be part and will report to the CAT team at Carrier Global Design Center in Syracuse NY.

Help us to reimagine a more sustainable future in HVAC products, from the small AC window units up to the large commercial systems that provide comfort control to large scale facilities.

Responsibilities:

Support Fast Prototyping activities for Proof of Concept testing of new technology in Heat Transfer systems, both handson in our labs and with Engineering analysis work.
Help identifying areas of opportunity to improve designs
Help test fabrication approaches and evaluate Value Proposition to develop technologies.

Education / Certifications

BS in Engineering in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
5 years of work experience in fabrication/manufacturing relevant field
Project management experience a plus.

Experience/Qualifications

Individual should be fluent in English language (oral and written skills).
Experience with machining, forming processes and joining.
Knowledge of product costing and BOM structure.
Strong Knowledge on technical drawings and GD&T
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including report writing and presenting technical information.
Knowledge and ability to thrive in a fastpaced changing environment is essential for success in this position
This position is based out of Monterrey Mexico, but requires up to 60% of the time travel at different Carrier locations worldwide in support of key projects.
Experience in HVAC a plus but not required.
