NEW CAREER OPPORTUNITY | SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

PIEDRAS NEGRAS, COAHUILA

PIEDRAS NEGRAS III PLANT (STRUCTURES DIVISION)

Your tasks will be:

Ensure that suppliers comply with current regulations on quality, health and safety as well as environmental requirements.

  • Keep suppliers updated and manage compliance with quality procedures.
  • Ensure that PPAP is available from all suppliers with an age of no more than one year.
  • Evaluation of the performance of the suppliers in LQTS or manual for those that are not in the system.
  • Maintain procedure of qualifications A,B,C updated and communicated to inspection receipt.
  • Followup and monitoring of quality problems that impact the process related to raw materials.
  • Keep updated the status of the quarantine locations in plant and logistic center.
  • Validation of raw materials and suppliers for new products and engineering changes to grant PPAP.
  • Creation and monitoring of charges to suppliers for quality failures.
  • Folllowup to QNs and PR until its closure in the SQTS or LQTS, thet should not remain open for more than 60 days.
  • Administration of third parties placed in the plant due to supplier failure.
  • Administration of the quarantine area, entry of nonconforming product, definition and disposition.
  • Manage and provide RMAs from suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and audits as assigned.
  • Understand the quality and environmental policy
  • Ensure that all material within quarantine is identified and does not have more than 24 hours without status.
  • Keep suppliers and materials informed in a timely manner of material rejections that enter quarantine.
  • Support in training programs, as required and as you experience and mastery of topics.

To be successful in the role you need:

  • 3 years of experience minimum in the automotive industry in the quality department
  • English advanced
  • Knowledge in core tools, GD&T, IATF 1694
  • Experience with suppliers in the automotive industry
  • PPAP
