Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Administration or any other technical field

  • 3+ years of progressive program management or relevant work experience
  • Solid experience with Advanced Excel and basic SQL

Amazon Transportation Services is seeking a Relay Operation Center Manager (ROC) to join the Air Cargo program.

The Program Manager, Cargo Management, will be responsible to develop and execute new processes, policies, goals, and long-term solutions that increase scalability, streamline operations, reduce errors, decrease costs, and improve the company's overall air transportation program.

This position will communicate with external vendors, managers, peers, and team members, both within the team, as well as with other departments and business partners to drive effective solutions to complex challenges.

The Program Manager will work cross-functionally to implement solutions that effectively exceed targets. In charge of handling and solving air disruption across the network.

Key job responsibilities

  • Working crossfunctionally, navigating through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment, accepting ownership and accountability, and delivering on commitments.
  • Managing multiple project assignments that continuously improve customers' experience and develop best in class air cargo capabilities.
  • Communicating roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to crossfunctional project teams to gain buyin and deliver to project schedules.
  • Producing concise, relevant, and strategically driven documents and presentations for both the frontline operation at airports and company leadership.
  • Using analytical tools to dive deep and never be out of touch with the details of the business.
  • Tracking progress towards goals by identifying metrics and measuring performance.
  • Representing the company with partners, and working across all relevant crossfunctional areas to guarantee effective communication, implementation, and execution of objectives.
  • Master's degree or foreign equivalency in Business Administration, Engineering, or operations management
  • Experience in complex logístical processes for cargo operations, air freight, freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics
  • Experience in scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements through: Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma
  • Experience in Cargo Management Systems
  • Ability to influence internal and external organizations to achieve corporate goals, including the ability to influence and manage upward as necessary
