The LEGO Group is seeking a Senior Director of Mould Maintenance at LEGO Operaciones de México; a meaningful role at the heart of our manufacturing organization in one of our key global sites.

Mould Maintenance is a crucial function, and a critical team within Moulding operations with the overall ambition that all moulds fulfill the LEGO Group's established requirements: assuring world class safety, adherence to quality standards and processes reliability to secure production-ready availability with the aim of avoiding any disruption of the whole manufacturing-value chain.


The Senior Director for Mould Maintenance is responsible for the Moulding technology starting point department, that has a clear impact on the operations continuity by securing that the moulds are available at all times establishing and following the pillars of an outstanding manufacturing philosophy.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Promotes and secures the physical and emotional integrity of the employees by being an ambassador of the culture and safety toolkit established in The LEGO Group.
  • Sets global framework together with the Mould Maintenance network to drive improvements, align standards and contribute to the overall global Moulding strategy.
  • Deploy Global Operations strategical initiatives and connects the drill down activities to it; setting the operational area metrics and follow up on the deliverables and compliance. Set a clear path to follow in a daily operational forums regarding SQDCP.
  • Integrates and promotes a mentality of Continuous Improvement in the context of GMEP (Global Maintenance Efficiency Program).
  • People leader responsible for maintaining and boosting a healthy and highly motivated staff, whose impact will be reflected in PULSE (our global employee engagement survey).
  • Set strategic path for short, mid and long term ambition within their area of responsibility as well as across the Moulding organization.
  • Successfully connect with the Moulding leadership team to get results for the whole Manufacturing process.
  • Accountable for the Mould Maintenance financial statements result as well as support performance across all of the Moulding operational areas
  • Ensure compliance of quality and safety standard (Product safety, QA Handbook, IMS, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001)

Do you have what it takes?- Well developed experience in a leadership role, with strong knowledge and understanding in operations areas including production, engineering, maintenance or alike

  • Proved deep knowledge:

TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Engineering, Warehouse administration and Inventory management.- A high level of interpersonal skills; collaboration, teamwork, focus on staff wellness, proactivity and the highest personal and professional ethics.- Resilient and flexible to adapt fast to a continuous changing environment.- PC medium level (office), projects execution, integrated management system (safety and quality).- Knowledge of the plastic injection industry.
