In one sentence:


  • Looking for a Software Support Engineer responsible for providing bestinclass technical support to a global customer base. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attentive to customer questions. Selfmotivated, able to work with mínimal guidance and supervision, someone who will take ownership on customer requests until closure.
  • Maintains ownership of the resolution of complex technical problems, including debugging, simulations, identifying bugs, tool and script development for problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and reproduction.

What will your job look like?:

  • You will investigate, debug and reproduce issues, provide fixes and workarounds and verify changes to ensure continued operability of the software solution.-
  • You will demonstrate continuous improvements and increased efficiency to the software or business processes utilizing Software Engineering tools, innovative techniques and the reuse of existing solutions.-
  • You will contribute to meeting the SLAs and KPIs as applicable for the account and unit
  • for example, responsiveness, resolution, software quality, etc.-
  • You will communicate with internal/external stake holders to enhance the understanding of customer problems, and verify that an appropriate resolution has been applied-
  • You will work in a production support work environment.-
  • You will do trouble shooting production issues on outage calls, multitask and resolve issues with speed-
  • You will take the ownership to researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve issues-
  • You will work on Migrations, collaborate and work with others as a team-
  • You will provide on call weekend support on a rotational basis at least once a month-
  • You will provide extended support during weekdays as required-
  • You will contribute in meeting various SLA's and critical metrics to guarantee that tasks are completed on time and delivery timelines meet the quality targets of the organization

All you need is:


  • Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computer Science or equivalent 3+ yrs Linux shell scripting expertise for Production issue handling, automations and alerts setup
  • 3+ yrs Oracle SQL scripting expertise and be able to create and update procedures and SQL scripts
  • Required Programming experience in any language (Python or Java and/or C++ etc)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in office suite of products (Excel)
  • Strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

  • Azure knowledge
  • TLG knowledge (nice to have if Amdocs internal move)
