About this opportunity


The Accounting Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the accounting activities, aiming to ensure that all booking and reporting must be doing in agreement with US GAAPS and MEX GAAPS.

This role is a professional accounting position requiring knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, taxes, payroll and financial reporting.

The accounting supervisor will support the territory office in Mexico by performing day to day accounting procedures as assigned and also have to work as the point of contact across different internal areas as well as external consultants.


This position will report to the Senior Manager, Finance and is responsible for performing the duties described, in an effective and efficient manner.


In this role, you will

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly close process, account reconciliations, accounts analysis and preparation of journal entries.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly closing.
  • Maintain an updated report on leasing and fixed assets.
  • Ensure account reconciliations are delivered with quality and on a timely manner.
  • Ensure follow up and resolution of reconciliation open items and/or variances.
  • Collaborate with all functions to ensure reporting and accounting aspects are appropriately assessed and documented.
  • Ensure Payroll Processing performed by the payroll vendor meets the established Payroll SLA, controls, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure employees receive accurate remuneration on the published pay dates, thereby ensuring that the Company meets its contractual obligations.
  • Research, track and resolve accounting issues.
  • Assists in assessing and implementing system changes as required due to global or local changes in regulations or process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities and help to implement continuous improvements for procedures in the accounting and payroll area.
  • Preparation and completion of other projects and tasks that may be required from time to time.

In this role, you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
years of experience performing accounting duties and taxes.

  • SAP experience.
  • Microsoft office skills with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Spanish.
  • Natural curiosity to understand general business practices.
  • Outstanding organization and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform detailoriented work, manage multiple tasks, be a proactive problem solver, critical thinker and work independently.
