Position Summary:


  • Translates automotive content for AutoZone's stores system Z-Net and websites including: fitment notes, product attributes, banners, promotional information, trustworthy advice, etc. by using Trados Tool
**Job Responsibilities

  • Other duties may be assigned**:

  • 70% Translates all automotive content for Z-Net and the websites including: fitment notes, product attributes, banners, promotional information, trustworthy advice, etc.

10% Researches new sources of translation aids, for example: vendor and manufcturer's websites, glossaries, dictionaries, etc. Conducts informal surveys with AZ stores personnel about terminology.

10% Translates documents as requested, examples: data entry instructions, commercial materials, e-commerce webpage, deals and promotions, manuals, etc.

10% Maintains and improves the Translation Memories, and the AZ Multilingual Dictionary


Skills and Requirements:


  • Level of formal education: Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
  • Area of study: Foreign languages, translation
  • Years of Experience: 6 months preferable
  • Type of experience: Translator, editor, technical writer, language teacher
  • Special certifications or technical skills: TOEFL (English-Spanish), excellent knowledge of automotive terminology, computer skills, CAT tools (Trados), CELPE-BRAS (English-Portuguese) is a plus.
  • Other/preferred: Excellent communication skills. Able to perform simultaneous translation.
