The Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) LATAM Transformation Team provides consolidated project management for Operations at a pivotal moment in the regional growth plan.

The key objective of the team is to provide exceptional levels of project delivery and governance mixed with innovative solutions for Operations to lead the change agenda.


The teams scope is wide, and growing, covering all CIB Operations in LATAM and key partnerships with Technology, Operations and Global Transformation teams, in efforts to drive, influence and lead Platform, Regulatory, AI and Strategic change driven by value.

The team has responsibility for managing all Operational aspects of projects including contribution to solutions, collecting operational requirements.

The team also develops digital automation & data visualization tools including Robotics, Alteryx, and Tableau through global programs and local SME development, our team delivers increased controls and client experience as well as efficiencies for the region.

Role Description


The role is unique in its responsibilities in providing senior support to the transformation Director and team, who are responsible for driving change across Operations.

The incumbent will be involved in varying aspects across change from Comms, to Strategy, Governance and Value Realization.


As a Project Manager within the LATAM Transformation team, you will also support the operations business with a focus on projects and systems prioritization.

Project work has a substantial impact on the back, middle and front office, driven by regulatory changes, business growth, system implementations or enhancements, revenue enhancement, cost reduction, risk mitigation, process improvement or other priorities as defined by management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, coordinate and prepare executivelevel presentations and analysis, building strong narratives and compelling stories.
  • Manage projects and key initiatives as part of the PMO whilst ensuring sound best practice across project delivery is accomplished.
  • Drive strategic communications agenda across operations, supporting business activity for the Transformation and Operations lead as required.
  • Proactively highlight issues and risks to the objectives, help derive solutions and drive remedies to completion
  • Pick up, run with and deliver other adhoc initiatives as they arise and when needed
  • Assist with the planning and execution of the change agenda, whilst keeping engaged with other streams / projects to work towards a consolidated approach and view
  • Analyzing data, processes, organization and supporting Middle Office & Back Office system change
  • Act as coordinator between technology, the business and operations teams to meet project objectives, ensuring they are communicated and executed properly
  • Partner closely with Stakeholders to manage project deliverable expectations.
  • Participate in and lead progress status meetings at the operational and project management level
  • Provide continuous feedback on project status, offering constructive options to ensure project tracks to original expectations
  • Provide documentation to support business cases or funding requests
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification.
  • 3 years project management or business analyst preferred with a total of minimum 7 years of total work experience.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, & relationship management skills with the ability to manage during ambiguity.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills with the ability to effectively and confidently deliver for senior management.
  • Experience in the Financial industry with a strong product background in Payments, Futures & Options, OTC Derivatives, FX and Fixed Income is preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize information to reach logical conclusions; manage projects, evaluate & improve processes & present findings.
  • High degree of initiative, self direction, and ability to work independently as well within a team.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated quantitative & qualitative analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Fluent English required; Portuguese and / or Spanish an advantage.
