Responsibilities:


Enterprise Service Management Analyst

Main purpose


The Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Demand Analyst is a responsible for analyzing and managing demand for ESM services from both GBS and non-GBS functions within PepsiCo.

This individual plays a critical role in ensuring that the ESM CoE can track and meet the evolving needs of the business and its customers.


The ESM Demand Analyst facilitates the partnership between the requestors and various stakeholders within the ESM CoE, IT and ServiceNow to understand the business need.

They capture the demand and facilitate discussions between these stakeholders to understand the business use case and provide a high-level service design to meet the business need.

They work the demand management process to produce a rough order of magnitude document that includes costing related to delivery resources, licenses, etc., and work with the IT delivery team to forecast delivery timelines.

The ESM Demand Analyst also works with the functions and Demand manager to inform the ESM and Functional Roadmap to ensure it remains current.

They are responsible for ensuring the demand log is current and requests are progression through the demand process in compliance with SLA ́s & Demand KPI ́s and drives continuous service improvement with key stakeholders as it related to the demand management process.


The ESM Demand Analyst responsibility is to focus on the fine details of assembling different interrelated components and streamline the release management process.

To satisfy a complex or solution-based release. Release managers coordinate with different stakeholders for requirements, testing, and release calendar of necessary components. They ensure a synchronous running of day-to-day processes.


Your Impact
As the ESM Demand Analyst your scope will consist of:

  • Assess the feasibility, effort, and cost of the demand and create a business case for approval of the demand.
  • Assign demand tasks to a business analyst, resource user, or an appropriate group. The assigned resource or group then creates a cost and resource plan to help the demand manager assess and qualify the demand.
  • Facilitate collaboration with other ESM Function Leads & IT process owners to ensure continuous communication and needs understanding.
  • Ensure the usage the Demand Management tools to compare and assess demands, and signals demands ready for delivery (projects, enhancements & changes).
  • Support ESM change management and training related to launch and adoption of demand processes within ServiceNow across GBS.
  • Communicate ESM projects pipeline, timelines, changes, and requirements to stakeholders.
  • Measure and monitor the progress of releases after deployment.
  • Maintain documents related to procedures on build and release.
  • Identify and project dependencies that could alter the course of releases.
  • Establish relationships/partnership with key stakeholders & GBS service owners across PepsiCo service towers & functions, including HR, CME, Commercial, etc.
  • Adopt and foster a culture of continuous process improvement as it pertains to the Demand Management Process.
  • Collaborate with ESM Portal/other channel Product owner and Experience design lead to ensure new demands are designed with human centered design principals.
