Eaton's VEH NAA North America Auto division is currently seeking a Plant Manager. This position will be based at our Reynosa, Mexico location.


What you'll do:


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Must work consistently to maintain safe and healthy working conditions, to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injury and illness and to observe Federal, State, local, and overall regional company safety and health regulations.


Must reflect an interest in company safety and health objectives and required to set a good example by always observing the rules as a part of the normal work routine.- Develop, communicate and provide leadership to ensure achievement of plant objectives: 1.

Tactical operational plans e.g. Profit Plan Goals, 2. Strategic Plans in alignment with divisional and group operational strategies; to all members of the organization as applicable.

  • Relentlessly Build Organizational Capability by empowering functional areas while providing overall direction and accountability in accordance with the Eaton Values and Philosophies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that provide ample guidelines to direct the operation.
  • Understand, promote and adhere to the Company's policy on Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action as well as all local / regional employment guidelines.
  • Select, motivate and develop personnel to ensure a staff of qualified personnel.
  • Maintain and improve employee relationships with all plant employees by supporting the Eaton Philosophy of Excellence Through People. Ensure appropriate, effective, and timely functional communication.
  • Actively supporting and driving the Eaton Philosophies and Work Practices.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing manufacturing strategy in alignment with the strategic and tactical plans of the Torque Control Products Division & Fuel Emissions and Powertrain Controls Division.
  • Provide guidance to the Reynosa Leadership team's functional areas in the development of the Capital Plan, annual Profit Plan, as well as the Strategic Plan in alignment with the overall divisional group level plan.
  • Relentlessly provide leadership and guidance to the Operational Excellence functional area to ensure customer expectations are met while driving the integration of the Culture of Quality through deployment of the Eaton Business System.
  • Ensure all new Product Launches are Flawless.
  • Provide direction and overall leadership and support for Cost Out initiatives at both the plant and divisional levels.
  • Create an atmosphere and provide leadership that allows each manager to utilize his/her full potential to accomplish plant and divisional objectives.
  • Provide direction and leadership that supports an environment that fosters solid employee moral and relations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for public relations issues and events within the community.
  • Adhere to and comply with all MESH, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, TS 16949 standards, procedures, and guidelines

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Engineering or a related business field, required.
  • Master's Degree in Business administration or Finance, preferable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in plant manufacturing operations and business leadership.
  • Required working knowledge and experience with plant manufacturing management of minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • A minimum of one to five years experience as a Manufacturing Manager, preferably in an automotive supplier organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to work with little direction, and ability to foster a teamoriented environment required.
  • Achieve ADVANCE level for 5S ́s, SW & BPS Lean tools.
  • Achieve INTERMEDIATE level for VSM, SUR, LMF & 3P Lean tools.
  • Achieve FOUNDATION level for TPM & TVSM Lean tools.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:


  • ISO / TS16949 certification experience preferable.
  • Knowledgeable of the Eaton Business system (EBS)
  • Preventative Culture of Quality through Operational Excellence
  • Maintain and demonstrate a good understanding of the Eaton Values and Philosophies and Eaton Business System
  • Lean & Six Sigma Experience.
