What you will do it:

Manages and directs product engineering initiatives in the plant efficiently, in accordance with corporate policies, procedures and specifications, to produce within the parameters of quality and target cost. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure that new product launches and current product enhancements are incorporated into specifications and procedures so that they meet the process requirements for introducing new products.
Collaborates with all departments of the plant in the identification and solution of problems related to suppliers, product or process.

How you will do it:

Ensure that the information released for the manufacture of plant products is aligned to global design standards, is up to date and complies with industry design, market and industry standards and requirements (AHRI, ASME, PED, ETL, UL, etc.)
Responsible for the effective implementation of changes in the engineering of product support in production.
Responsible for coordinating the launch of new products at the plant.
Test and troubleshoot materials, design and functionality
Responsible for the execution of special contract projects.
Perform detailed documentation to track project and design process
Responsible for the CNC programming department.
Responsible for maintaining the reliability of information, updating and maintenance of the master data, bills of materials, engineering drawings and CNC programs of the products manufactured in the plant.
In charge of create and review technical drawings, plans and specifications and adapt designs for manufacturing process.
Responsible to make available the master information of the products to productive areas as well as to all the different areas that require it.
Responsible for controlling access to product information.

Develop the talent, skills and knowledge of the engineering department.
Provide guidance to product engineering areas, making sure department activities are aligned with business objectives.
Provide technical guidance to product engineering to ensure conformity of products to international certifications and industrial standards.
Be the engineering link between local engineering resources and global design centers.
Plan the total engineering budget and be responsible for its approval and operational adherence to the budget.
Review project specifications and requirements to ensure product design and manufacturing conformance.
Responsible for achieving the efficiency objectives during the startup phase of the implementation.

Responsible for supervising the implementation of engineering changes, as well as the timely followup of department metrics.
Generate action plans to improve department KPIs.
Responsible for the identification of new processes, machines and / or tools needed to support new products.
Provide support and guidance to Department Managers in all engineering functions.
Implement and enforce technical and administrative procedures and policies to ensure the proper functioning of the Engineering Department.

What we look for:

Technical knowledge of operation and operation of HVAC equipment, preferably Chillers equipment.
Knowledge of the UL 1995 standard
Technical knowledge of control systems, interpretation of electrical diagrams, electric motors, power electronics.
Interpretation of engineering specifications for mechanical, electrical and pressure components.
Understanding engineering change control processes, bills of materials, control of revisions of drawings.
Knowledge of CAD Design Processes, PTC Creo and Control of PTC Windchill version
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and effectively execute tasks under a pressure environment.
