Application Engineer:

We are looking for a new colleague in the Customer Applications team at our location in Santa Rosa.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Support project from concept to launch.
  • Coordinate engineering activities to deliver products designed to meet customer requirements.
  • Define and agree on project scope with customer and manage project to agreed scope.
  • Support customer approval of the PPAP.
  • ZF technical lead for the customer regarding the overall project. Primary technical interface with ZF customers on brake control projects.
  • Maintain engineering timing to meet customer key milestones.
  • Participate in design for manufacturing reviews with ZF manufacturing sites.
  • Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA reviews

Support vehicle testing
Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive product engineering experience working in product design and development with a preferred focus on brake controls design and/or vehicle brake development.
  • Familiar with OEM component design and release system including other chassis components (steering, suspension, etc).
  • Computer literate utilizing data spreadsheets and word processing. Must possess strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Approximately four weeks of travel per year required to support vehicle tests, review supplier plants and customer support.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in English required.
