Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed service proposals for equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrade projects.
Prepare a detailed scope of work based on experience, drawings, company procedures, specific instructions, etc.
Prepare project cost estimates, detailed costs, margins, contingency, selling price, terms, etc.
Create overall engineering, equipment supply, and installation schedules using MS Project.
Work in liaison with the various technical support staff within Metso Outotec organization.
Communicate with customers on project objectives and clarify proposals as required.
Provide ongoing technical support to customers.
Followup on project cost deviation, cycle times, and Accounts Receivable.
Maintain proposal quotation log and filing system for ongoing reference.
Assist with investigating mechanical problems and corrective actions/ repair procedures.
When appropriate, make recommendations to improve field methods and/or efficiency.
Take a leadership position in the planning of larger more complex projects.
Visit customers with the sales force to develop and grow service business opportunities.
Carry out other servicerelated tasks as a member of Metso Outotec as may be requested by the Manager.

Requirements:

Mechanical Engineer (3 years minimum) or Mechanical Technician with equivalent experience.
Previous experience working with heavy equipment (mineral processing) is an asset.
Previous experience working with mechanical contractors (tool list, job duration, etc... ) is an asset.
Valid Canadian work authorization.

Skills and Abilities

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teamwork.
Autonomous, capable of making decisions, work with minimum supervision.
Good communication skills, fluent in English and French, spoken and written.
Flexible to travel to customer sites to discuss their needs and assist during project execution (approximately 2530% travel).
Ability to lead, plan, and organize field service assignments.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings in the English and Metric System.
Product knowledge of Metso Outotec's equipment.
Adequate computer skills, capable of working with Microsoft Windows, Word, & Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
Have all normal physical capabilities including walking, sitting, proper vision, hearing, speaking, and sense of smell.
Use office and computer equipment.
Work in a variety of environments, which may include exposure to extreme heat, humidity.
