Our Company

The Role


This is a
temporary position whose main responsibility is supporting the Project Management team migrating systems as a result of a reorganization.

The senior accountant will ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data migrated between systems (SAP S4 HANNA to SAP ECC).


This is a 4/5 month project where initially will be focused on the understanding and supporting with the closing (R2R, P2P, O2C, Payroll, IC, Treasury) while working and supporting in the different migration workstreams.


The role will be based in Polanco, Mexico City and will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and dotted line to the Director of Accounting and Sponsor of the project.

The senior accountant will work closely with the IT project management team ensuring adherence to the deliverable milestones, gathering the required data and meeting tight deadlines.

Also will work closely with the Mexico Controllership team, including other Business Departments, such as Global Business Services (GBS), the broader Finance community, Tax team and Treasury.


What you will be doing:


  • Experience in company reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions
  • Coordinate activities within the Controllership team related to the Migration project
  • Support with the COA mapping
  • Prepare all the data conversion files (Fixed Assets, ICs, Trial Balance, etc)
  • Full Review of the migrated Trial Balance ensuring all accounts are 100% reconciled
  • Assist the Project management team with activities from other groups (Payroll, P2P, O2C)
  • Reconcile VAT position and ensure it is correctly migrated
  • Support with the post golive
  • Responsible for preparing and posting month end journal entries, reconciling GL accounts, issuing IC invoices and other month end related standard and adhoc activities
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested by his/her key Customers/Stakeholders in respective accounting region

What you need to have:


  • Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 34 years of accounting experience, preferably in US GAAP environment
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in SAP FI/CO
  • Experience with Systems migration is essential
  • Must have experience with MS Excel and advanced functions
  • Very good communication skills, soft skills, interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in Multinational/Multicultural organization matrix
  • Agility, flexibility, analytical, problem solving, putting extra effort to serve businessoriented goals

It's a plus if you have:

  • Big 4 public accounting background and prior exposure to work in a captive Finance Shared Service Centre
  • Selfdriven attitude every day, with willingness to GROW and take on more tasks
  • Skills to work in a fastpaced environment that will be changing together with you

Other Requirements

  • Required to be in the Polanco office three days a week (specific days to be determined upon hire)
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Legal right to work in Mexico
