Responsibilities:
- Is the S2P focal point to Clients for coordinating the setup of both technical and commercial data from data receipt to info record setup into ERP
- Provides mentoring to Data analysts/associates in coordinating the S2P process from data receipt to info record setup.
Requirements:
- Provides the necessary engineering support to ensure that PDM team tasks are completed on time
- Receive, review and understand product data packages from our external customers
- Perform initial triage of customer bid data to identify highlevel gaps/issues and estimate effort/time required to complete quote tracker.
- Interface with manufacturing and supply chain teams to prioritize engineering changes and data setup based on production schedule.
- Complete bill of material, component and assembly data set up within Celestica's internal databases to enable material procurement and manufacturing.
- Communicate with external customers to resolve missing and/or inaccurate data.
- Work with external customers to ensure Documents of Understanding are in place and contain all relevant guidelines for managing specific customer data
- Coordinate with Energy PDM team members to ensure DoUs and other tech docs are reviewed and updated in line with Energy document control standards.
- Interface with engineering design support team to streamline the current process
- Provide coaching and training to Energy PDM team members
- Work with multidisciplinary teams on continuous improvement initiatives as necessary to enhance processes to meet cost, quality, and delivery
- Deals directly with immediate supervisor, coworkers and team members
- Support competitive material pricing solutions to facilitate growth and margins as per company objectives.
- Manage EC's and New Awards that need pricing updates based on financial goals.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
- Good level of competency in reviewing and interpreting technical data (drawings, models, technical spec's) for both Mechanical and Electrical assemblies and components
- Good level of competency in assessing customer BOM structure and proposing the best approach for loading into Celestica PLM databases
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes [PCB Assembly, PCB Fabrication, Assembly, Machining, Injection Moulding]
- Good understanding of PDM inputs/outputs and activities in key S2C process areas (Bid, New Award, Engineering Change Management, Material Repricing Services, Value Engineering and Material Value Propositions)
- High level of proficiency with corporate PLM tools (Matrix, Enovia)
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and recommend solutions based on technical expertise, clearly outlining assumptions where required
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Basic to Intermediate knowledge of SCM tools (SAP, Quote App, Scavenger)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work effectively with a broad range of functions (Sales, GCBU, BPLs, PMs, Site teams)
- Ability to coach and train PDM team members
- Ability to align and prioritize work across PDM team to ensure commitments are met
- Understanding of general Energy products and industry (or equivalent)
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies is considered an asset
- Experience with PowerBI is considered an asset
- Experience working with macros is considered an asset
- Sees through the closure of EC's and New Award that need pricing updates based on financial goals.
- Manages pricing on production customers in a material pricing capacity
Requirements:
- Ability to consolidate, manipulate and analyze customer product data
- Review and interpret technical data (drawings, models, technical spec's) for both Mechanical and Electrical assemblies and components
- Demonstrate strong systems skills, including common office platforms such as MS Office (proficiency in Excel) and PDM tools such as Matrix.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Proactively identify & resolve issues internally and externally.
- Effectively work with a diverse group of team members, potentially based in multiple countries.
