The goal of the WCRM Team is to centralize all monitoring activities to ensure adherence to policies, such as ICG Risk Management Policy, Global Commercial Credit Policy, and Citi Private Bank Credit Policy.


The major goal of the Wholesale Credit Risk Limit Monitoring Process is to actively manage concentrations in a portfolio level with reference to current or projected market events, concerns or issues.

This applies to the broad range of fundamental dimensions including, but not limited to country, industry, product, legal entity, single name relationship, obligor / counterparty, and facility.

The Monitoring Process is a crucial task in the credit risk management. It is performed through appropriate mechanisms for monitoring and controlling the Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) profile.


Different kind of risk types are covered by WCRM Team: Pre-Settlement Risk, Settlement, Direct, Contingent, Initial Margin, Notional, Term and Financial Market Infrastructure.

The WCRM Analyst is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results and defines business issues.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify reported excesses of limits and breach thresholds or PRCs (Portfolio Risk Constraints in the associated system dashboards, data report downloads, or reports generated by DART (Data, Analytics, Reporting & Technology).
  • Conduct investigation of reported excesses and determine the root cause.
  • Notify responsible first line Sponsor/Coordinator in Institutional Credit Management (ICM) and other relevant first and second line of defense teams of all reported excesses (potential true breaches and false excesses, including those related to data quality) and share results of root cause analysis.
  • Track execution of the approved remediation and/or management action plans for true limit / threshold breaches until resolution and inquire with first and second line of defense regarding aged breach inventory until approved resolution plan is successfully executed.
  • If a reported excess is suspected to be a result of data quality issues, also raise data quality issues to applicable data governance council in ICM for further evaluation.
  • Notify responsible first line Sponsor/Coordinator of potential true breaches and false excesses as a result of the investigation process for acknowledgement by ICM.
  • Performs selfassessment testing when required; change, execute and revalidate changes on reporting requirements from regional, global or any regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:


  • Degree holder in Economics, Finances, Mathematics, Statistics or any related field.
  • Diligent, good working attitude and an aptitude for numbers is a must.
  • Proactive, driven, team player, ability to work with stress and attention to details is highly required.
  • Experience in working in similar environment would be an added advantage.
  • Problem solving.

Education:


  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced English.
  • Understanding of Financial Instruments.
