Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Model Development: Design, build, and deploy geospatial and other models and algorithms that meet business needs in the real estate domain.
  • Communication with Customers: Participate in meetings with clients to understand and define business requirements and communicate technical results.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project and business teams to implement databased solutions and improvements.
  • Optimization and Automation of Processes: Create and maintain efficient and automated data workflows, using cloud technologies like AWS (preferred) or GCP.
  • Monitoring and Improvement of Models: Evaluate and monitor model performance, making continuous adjustments and improvements.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data science, participating in training and workshops as necessary.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed technical documentation and reports that facilitate understanding and replication of processes and results.
  • Strategic Thinking: Support strategic thinking and processes related to infrastructure, geospatial data pipelines, software development, and deployment.
  • Self-Accountability: Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of data science or software development experience.
  • Conversant with Python, and with Python libraries commonly used for geospatial analysis such as GeoPandas.
  • Technical Experience includes designing, building, and deploying GIS models, ideally with with Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Experience using various techniques as data sources including, but not limited to, RESTbased APIs, SQL, and documentbased databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS (preferred).
  • Experience with real estate is not required but strongly preferred.
  • Working with large geospatial datasets is required.
