▪ EHS Responsible for one plant of 3000 employees: Lead a team of 9 EHS Engineers covering 3 shifts, reaching the best 
results on EHS on the life of the plant on TRIR, Legal Compliance, being a reference and spearhead for other plants in 
the group by sharing best practices, tools and documents.
▪ TRIR Reduction (2019:0.7, 2020:0.6, 2021:0.28) and # safety recordable incidents by implementing the “Strategy Zero” 
with 3 pillars: Risk Assessment, Employee awareness and Leadership interaction (Directors, Managers, SV´s, TL, …).
▪ EHS Management System: Develop and implement of Management system (no certified) to standardized High risk
procedures, contractor’s management, risk assessment, incident investigation, ERP, chemicals and hazardous waste
management, internal KPIs, Health and Safety Commission...
▪ Legal Compliance: Reach the score of Compliance of 76% to 97% in 1.5 years. Civil Protection Approval (it has not 
been obtained since 2016), Update of Environmental License (SEMARTNAT), Reports of Work Environment according 
Mexican law and visibility of Legal Requirements for Directors and Managers, Chemicals Management, environmental 
risk assessment for hazardous materials, following up to MSDS progress, develop of check list for chemical warehouse….
▪ Emergency Response Plan Implementation: Review, development and adaptation of corporative statements;
Emergency Response Team Roles & Responsibilities definition; Evacuation and fire brigades training according needs
and legal requirements; Evacuation brigade integration; Emergency layouts, Fire hoses and hydrants increasing, drills.
▪ COVID implementation and following up: Advice and implementation of all measures required by Mexican law, OSHAS

Mar 2017 – Jul 2019 Martinrea Honsel México – EHS Coordinator 
▪ EHS Responsible for 3 Plants located in Queretaro. Support for sites in Mexico, Brazil, China and Germany. Reporting 
Directly to HR Manger, Plant Managers (3) and Division Vice-president (from Canada). Weekly meetings with Mexican 
and Brazilian sites for networking, share best practices and give support for Brazilian site.
▪ Savings for more than $250,000 USD/year by: legal advisors (I manage legal issues), Hazardous and Non-Hazardous 
waste management, Waste water treatment plant for liquids hazardous waste. Develop, implementation, 
maintenance and improvement on Waste Management (hazardous, non-hazardous and recyclable).
▪ Reduction of TRIR (2017:4, 2018:1.9, 2019:0.92) and # safety recordable incidents (2017:22, 2018:13, 2019:2).
▪ More than 500 work hours training per month given by EHS personnel. 
▪ First time certification of 2 plants on Environmental (ISO 14001:2015) and Safety (OHSAS 18001:2007) Management

Develop, implementation and training of LOTO “Lock Out – Tag Out” program in 3 plants.
▪ Audits and visits reception: corporate, third-party, clients, federal authorities (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA…) Conduct 
audits with suppliers and providers to verify the life cycle. Program and conduct Internal safety audits.

▪ ISO-14001. Recovery of ISO-14001 certificate. Maintenance of Environmental Management System.
▪ Hazardous Waste Management: Savings for more than 220,000 USD on 2014 for Waste Management: 60% reduction on 
final disposition of trash, Plan develop and compliance with SEMARNAT. Develop and implementation of: 
▪ Water Management Plan, Water savings program: Metal working fluids re-use, control, recycling and reduction. 
Installation of Waste Water Treatment Plant for waste water of e-coat and galvanized process, reducing water 
consumption and water disposal (more than 250,000 USD of savings on 2015).
▪ Legal Requirements. Identification, evaluation, following up and compliance of legal requirements (Increase of 75 to 
95% of compliance in 3 years).

▪ Chemicals Management Plan. Design of chemical warehouse according to chemical compatibility. Implementation 
of chemical work permits for hydrochloric and caustic soda discharge, Management of hydrochloric acid on pipelines 
(to eliminate transportation in containers by forklift), compliance with NOM-028-STPS, NOM-005-STPS, NOM-010-STPS, 
delivering of report of essential chemicals to COFEPRIS.
▪ Management of procedures: Air Emissions Management Plan, state and federal COA report, environmental permits for 
new facilities (SEDESU state). SEMARNAT, CONAGUA, COFEPRIS, SEDESU, PROFEPA, CEA, Industrial Park, Corporate 
reports, internal and suppliers’ audits. 
▪ Training on Environmental topics for all the positions of the plant (operators, supervisors, team leader, managers…),
