CARLOS ANDRES Ramírez Rojas

Lawyer with more than six years of experience in corporate law, specializing in the analysis of contracts, especially those related to IT. I also have a background as a software engineer, which gives me an additional technical perspective that allows me not only to understand the regulatory framework applicable to the projects in which I participate, but also to interpret the legal framework of the projects in which I participate. 

I have been responsible for advising clients in the IT sector on the execution of various legal and administrative documents (contracts, confidentiality agreements, general terms and conditions, terms of use, privacy policies, master agreements, memoranda of understanding, letters of intent, etc.). My daily tasks include the analysis of the drafts of the aforementioned documents received from the clients under my responsibility, identifying potential risks and, based on them, I define legal strategies to protect the interests of my clients.

Likewise, I led negotiations with legal, administrative and/or technical departments of national and international suppliers of the clients I oversaw, where I leveraged my expertise in IT to maintain an effective communication with teams from different sectors.

In a normal working day, I met with the clients to understand the projects they wanted to realize with their customers, specifically recording all the related requirements and correctly defining the scope of each of them, taking into account both legal and administrative and technical perspectives.

I have worked in an interdisciplinary manner with various departments to define and verify the implementation of corporate compliance strategies, ensuring that they are in line with the applicable regulatory framework (e.g., consumer protection, personal data protection, intellectual property, etc.)

I actively participated in the review of offers and service proposals, proposing changes to their terms and conditions in a manner that protected the interests of the parties involved, ensuring that our clients formalized commercial relationships in a protected legal context.

My results-driven approach allowed me to effectively identify and mitigate potential risks, which, in turn, protected my clients from adverse financial and legal consequences. I was instrumental in leading multidisciplinary teams in the execution of legal strategies, facilitating productive collaboration between legal, technical, and administrative departments.

As a software engineer, I have developed tools that streamline the legal document drafting process, significantly reducing the time required to complete critical documents.
