I am a Project Manager with strong negotiation skills, passionate about project management, with extensive experience using PMP methodologies (I have certification in project management skills based on PMI & IPMA standards), generating the correct follow-up strategies, committed to achieving the success of the projects. 

Communication is key to the success of the project, which is why I strongly promote teamwork with the areas involved, I enjoy directing and coordinating efforts through constant monitoring through weekly meetings and follow-up reports, this includes reports and follow-up meetings with the client and general management. e) Daily monitoring of the activities and control of the costs of the initial budget. (Anticipating any variation and generating action plans for countermeasures)

a) Continous improvement coordinator: Developing improvement projects through the identification of activities in the process flows, and coordinating Kaizen events to promote continuous improvement throughout the entire organization.

b) Process/manufacturing engineer: Leading transfers of production lines, developing and optimizing processes of metal mechanics, foundry, plastic injection and assembly. I led the implementation of an ERP (JD Edwards) by engineering.

Project manager responsible for the management of strategic market projects such as the construction and start-up of new facilities (for specific rear), working together with R&D to launch new insects rears, identifying risks and standardizing the process for delivery to production (Using the PMP methodology)

  • Business cases development for the project justification, the budget allocation, project charter realization and approval for the clear definition of the scope (including the exceptions to it) and stakeholder identification.
  • Development of the R.A.C.I matrix and the communication plan to identify the means and selection of the days of follow-up contact meetings with the stakeholders (to avoid conflict of activities as it is a functional matrix)

  • Identification of variations in times against planned activities, in expenses against budget, taking countermeasure actions for the least impact and when necessary, presenting controlled changes for authorization to the change committee with a previous root cause analysis to avoid re-presentations

I worked together with product engineers and process engineers in the development and start-up of different manufacturing projects. (Using the PMP methodology)

  • Simultaneously managed projects for the release of 30-part numbers in 2 new machining centers for the launch of a new program, in addition to the replacement of 100-part numbers in new plastic injection machines.
  • Generation of the business case to justify the financing of the new projects and develop the CAPEX.
  • Review of plans validating the characteristics and determining the manufacturing feasibility.
  • Definition of scope, time, cost and quality in the project according to the client's requirements.
  • Identification of the interested parties (generation of the R.A.C.I. matrix) and definition of the communication plan.
  • Realization of work structure division (WBS) to reflect it in a work plan (Gantt).
  • Identification of risks and impacts and generation of a mitigation plan and work instructions sheet)
  • Determine gage inspection and construction and validation methodology applying GD&T with the Quality and Metrology department according to the management of the quality plan.

I was co-responsible for the monitoring of the project for the transfer and fine-tuning of the production lines from Ciudad Juárez to the facilities in Apaseo el Grande, planning activities like the inventory of equipment, identification of all risks (with the containment plan) process release process and product approval of the machines and preparation of the launch documentation by article number. (Main tools) (Core tools)

  • Engineering drawing review to determinate the manufacture feasibility (coordinated with Process, Production Planner, Production, Metrology and Quality department)
  • Establish Process parameters

As a Lean coordinator, I mapped the processes, identifying the activities that did not generate value, and based on the PDCA methodology (plan, define, control and act) and from there I developed the entire strategy to implement continuous improvement in the company at all levels and positions, starting with the training of 100% of the employees, implementing 5's, visual aids and Kaizen workshops (SMED, TPM, VSM)
