Engels Emiliano Miranda Palacios

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Mathematics Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey. I consider myself a responsible and curious individual who has a deep passion for learning. I am constantly dedicated to acquiring new skills and knowledge. Furthermore, I take pride in fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, where I actively share my knowledge and openly embrace feedback.

In May 2023, I achieved first place in Tec de Monterrey's Datathon, sponsored by VivaAerobus. I crafted a Natural Language Processing model to extract insights from feedback survey comments, visualized through a Power BI dashboard.
From May 2023 onward, I've served as a Risk Analysis Intern at Vector Casa de Bolsa, focusing on report generation, data preprocessing, and process automation.
In December 2020, during my first college semester, my team and I won a hackathon for Animal Karma by building a website for wildlife identification in Morelos. My key contributions were data preprocessing and developing a CNN-based binary classification model.

As a Math/Computer Science student, I've cultivated self-instruction, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I've applied these skills to mathematical modeling and optimization, utilizing data structures and programming algorithms. my expertise extends to data analysis including descriptive statistics, graphing, and predictive analysis through ML, including Neural Networks for NLP. I also excel in full-stack web development, emphasizing backend work with SQL database development and API coding and implementation, along with a good understanding of the scientific method. My primary research interests revolve around Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Data Analysis, and Local Search algorithms for optimization.
