Main responsibilities

Presentation in statistical graphs of public health in shore side meetings according to the current situation of the ship in excel, google sheets, creator of systematic contact tracing report breakdown through QR digital platforms.

Monthly reports through graphic statistics of communicable disease, AGE, COVID, INFLUENZA, etc.

SOP review and interpretation of updates with new protocols added.

Team leader and personnel management of different departments.

Good communication with shoreside team public health

Coordinate vaccinations for crew members who are not vaccinated or have non-FDA approved vaccines.

Responsible for coordinating weekly antigen for crew members

Provide training to new crew members covid/ Influenza/ AGE

Obtain crew vaccination records and upload this information to SEA CARE.

Work closely with the medical team for inspections and supervision by management.

Responsable inventory control for PCR, Antigens.

Responsible for granting PCR certificate for disembarking crew members.

Implement and monitor a sanitary environment onboard.

Participation in multi-disciplinary team to consult on new-build and modification projects that impact the IPC.

 Routinely communicates program effectiveness, best practices and lessons learned to shore side Public Health Manager.

 Monitors the proper execution and follow up procedures related to Water Safety, including potable, recreational, and technical water systems, bunkering, production, dry dock, testing for Legionella and testing for coliform and E. coli as per SQM.

Person in charge to organizes and delivers public health training to shipboard staff (class room style), ensuring awareness of all OPP protocols, public health standards, regulations and policies. Periodically verifies OPP Par levels.

Manages the Integrated Pest Management Program onboard, monitors execution of procedures including baiting, trapping, inspections, and ensures proper treatment, follow-up and eradication of pest related issues.

Conducts periodic public health inspections, provides guidance and support for all public health related issues and assists in the timely follow up and implementation of corrective action for internal and external inspections.

As directed by the hotel manager, Sr Doctor, assists in accident and investigation procedures.

Training and monitoring of medical staff related to new procedures or equipment related to infection control.

Control and tracking of sharp containers and disposal procedures.

Hand Hygiene compliance and monitoring logs in medical facility.

Monitoring gastrointestinal illness activity and guides execution of the company outbreak prevention plan.

Review protocols related to laundering of possible contaminated laundry.
