Julius “DonDon” Lerdon

I am Julius Besejos Lerdon, 43 years old, and currently working as an English teacher at Las Hermanas de María Villa de los Niños in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. My current contract will end in July 2026. With 18 years of teaching experience, my role as an educator has encouraged me to explore various learning processes by engaging students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

I spent 11 years teaching elementary students in the Philippines, an experience that allowed me to appreciate and embrace my own culture while shaping young learners. In addition, I worked for three years as a part-time Online ESL teacher at the company 51Talk Philippines, teaching Chinese students of different proficiency levels.

Furthermore, I dedicated six years to teaching in the country of Saudi Arabia, where I taught Arab students using the AdvancED US-based curriculum. This experience strengthened my ability to facilitate learning with greater patience, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability.

Arizona State University – State of Arizona, United States of America, October 2025 Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) - completed more than 150 hours of instruction in Foundational Principles, Theories of Second Language Acquisition, Lesson Design and Assessment, Teaching Reading, Writing, and Grammar, Teaching Listening, Speaking, and Pronunciation, and Technology-Enriched Teaching, including 10 hours of observation and 10 hours of teaching.
