Coordination of senior and junior engineers (6 total) for a project of start up a wire harness line for customer NAVISTAR. Activities include layout organization, head count calculation, line balance, SMED analysis, training of operators and work instruction development. Our customer was a factory named LEONI, we were outsourcing for the project. The project finished early because of final customer NAVISTAR delay in the project.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR, ECOCABLE (KOREAN) (durango, mexico)

Coordination of production departments such as Quality, Logistics, Materials, Planning and engineering to meet production plans in LED area (SMT and assembly). Get in touch with clients to meet their daily and forecasted plans. Meet quality standards. Response to external client audits and quality audits as well. Establish a sound organization chart and responsibilities for all supervisors in charge. A total of 105 operators and 21 supervisors were at my charge and I had to organize the team roles. Department improvement and process improvement as well. 

2009-2022

MAINTENANCE supervisor, yazaki yed (japanese) (durango, mexico)

Acted as maintenance manager for two years when my superior had to leave temporarily the company for health reasons. Made budgets and annual planning of machinery and facilities maintenance. As maintenance manager I had the opportunity to lead new projects and give direction to the department based on plant manager direction. As supervisor I did maintenance personnel managing (25 technicians) in assembly and electronics SMT areas. Create preventive and predictive maintenance plans. Management of spare parts and preventive and predictive maintenance calendar. Response to internal and external audits from client and quality such as IATF and ISO14000. Internal auditor IATF and ISO14000. Improvement of processes. Installation of new lines from facilities installation until final setup and trials. Participation in multitask teams for new projects. Certified for management of maintenance using MP software. Work focused on keeping KPI inside goals and meet production achievement. Have received training on multiple machines from international suppliers such as Keysight (ICT), UMG (terminal insertion), Schunk (ultrasonic welding), Schleuniger (stripping wire), etc. Founder of LOTO system in the company, started from the ground to build a safe environment for the workers applying LOTO. Knowledge of SMT process, ultrasonic welding, cable cutting and crimping, robots, hydraulic and pneumatic presses. Leader role in fire fighting brigades.

2007-2009

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, yazaki tad (JAPANESE) (Durango, mexico)

Corrective and preventive maintenance to production equipment of assembly área and electronics (SMT) área. Equipment includes: hidraulic presses, SMT mounting (Panasonic, Siemens, FUJI), Schleuniger stripping, ICT, reflow ovens, AOIs, Terminal insertion machines, Robot placement, Vision systems, dynalab, IAI, etc. Process improvement (kaizen). Programming of new products in robots and PLCs of entire production line. PLC handling in high level to make new programas, improvements and troubleshoot failures. Mechanic tools and measurement tools handling. DENSO and MITSUBISHI ROBOTS programing and maintenance. High knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity and electronics. Maintenace to peripheral equipment such as blowers, air conditioning, air compressors and substation room. New line startups were part of my duties. Experience in whole plant moving from Atlanta to Durango.
