Mariel Quirós Casas

Recently graduated chemical engineer with knowledge in catalysis and HSE basics. My skills are: laboratory use, MATLAB, AutoCAD, Risk Assesments, investigation. I've been working at Thomson Industries as an HSE Jr Engineer for about 8 months.

Derived from my career, I did my internship at True Blue Manufacturing as an Engineer Intern for about 4 months in which my tasks where general engineering support from which I learned how to use AutoCAD. 

My current job is at Thomson Industries as an HSE Junior Engineer since October 2022 and my daily tasks are making procedures of Lockout-Tagout or LOTO, Risk Assesments or 4E and the compliance of daily preventive and corrective actions to mitigate risks, incidents or accidents and improve the overall security of the company.

I received my bachelor's diploma of Chemical Engineering at the Autonomous University of Baja California. At 3rd semester I began working at an investigation project which became my thesis about Hydrogen Production and later on I published a scientific article about one of the materials used for the investigation of my thesis. To present my paper I participated at the VIII Tijuana International Research Congress.
