First, I did a lot of training to be able to use the company's system, because I had to place orders, send forecasts and print. I was also trained to understand better the iSupplier portal and to successfully train suppliers. • I oversee a project called iSupplier that consists in a web EDI which helps the planner to have a better communication with the supplier to avoid any delay shipment. This project it is important for Sensata because this will help to achieve the Ford Q1 Certification. • I was trainer of the iSupplier project, I trained 20 suppliers from a lot of countries such as Thailand, United States, China, and Mexico. Most of the suppliers are from United States so the trainings were in English. • Experience with the production department with material purchase to do our components and deliver everything on time to our customers. Our main customers are Ford, Caterpillar, General Motors, LG, Samsung, etc. • I helped with Sensata's annual inventory which is quite extensive due to the number of materials they use, so I gained a lot of experience. • Other things in which I gave my support was to find alternative materials, because some suppliers could not give us materials, so what we did with other departments was to look for another supplier to give us a similar material. • I helped the engineering department with obsolete materials, some suppliers often stop selling us material, that is why engineering and other departments start looking for a solution as soon as possible. • Being in materials planning, I had certain suppliers that I had to ask them about materials, so we were making calls and I was always emailing them. • I used all the Microsoft Office tools because there were many files which I reviewed with my boss and my department in order to have a better organization of the materials coming into the company. • Provided support to inventory control, planned, scheduled and released orders, forecasted high runner PNs, liaised with suppliers and internal teams regarding orders and ongoing business. • Executed a weekly material shortage report for all part numbers. • Purchase order management through managing the entire purchase order process including appropriate documentation, data entry, submission, order expediting, and reconciliation of related issues.
