QA Automation Engineer - Testing/QA

A Solutions Quality Analyst (SQA) develops use cases, test cases, test scenarios, and/or prototypes and is involved in test execution and resolving issues and defects identified. They ensure project teams comply with the applicable procedures, standards, and methodologies. SQA identifies, prioritizes, and helps resolve QA/test related project and/or process problems. SQA partners with stakeholders and System Analysts (SA's) to clarify and finalize production/application requirements. SQA provides input to the development team establishing configuration management systems and establish the software release process.  Roles and responsibilities - Recommends test automation tool for building a test automation framework. - Develops and execute automated tests using diverse tools like Cucumber, QTP, Certify, Selenium etc. - Programming skills in open source/ linux environments using Python, Shell Scripting, Scala. - Integrate the test suites into the test management system and custom test harnesses. - Provide estimates and define test schedule for projects. - Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats. - Design test cases that can be applied to check the details of the software thoroughly. - Explore the software in detail such that they can come up with the right test cases. - Carry out exhaustive testing of the software and check the different segments of the code. - Analyze the result of the test cases and search for the right results. - Report problems found while testing the software to the team so that the bugs can be fixed.  Experience and Skills - At least 5 years of experience in Testing and Test Automation - Experience working in Agile teams using SCRUM Framework. - Experience with CI environments with test automation. - Strong experience in Linux based programming languages and scripting. - ISTQB or equivalent certification preferred - Experience in automating tests for front end and backend applications environment. - Familiarity of the underlying architecture of a multi-tier browser-based application is required, including operating systems, servers, networking, clients, and browsers. - The candidate should show a familiarity with the latest testing theory and practice, a commitment to on-going learning about the field, and a history of applying useful testing concepts in previous positions. - A demonstrated career commitment to testing and/or quality assurance is preferred. - A demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously as part of an independent test team within a project-service-organization context is required. - Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle. - English language proficiency (spoken and written). Working zone: Zapopan, Jal. Working hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
