What you'll do:


POSITION OVERVIEW:


Eaton's Bussmann Division is currently seeking a Plant Manager to join the team based at our Juarez, MX manufacturing plant.

Relocation assistance within hiring country is offered.

The Juarez site has close to 2,500 dedicated employees across 3 shifts during the week and 2 during the weekend.


As a member of the executive leadership team at Eaton, our Plant Managers are responsible for driving strategic and operational leadership at our sites.

You will drive profit and loss, growth strategy and organizational direction to meet and exceed the short and long-term business goals.

  • Essential functions:
  • Manage both operational leadership team and functional staff including Quality, Finance, Continuous Improvement, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Act with analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills to drive results within tight deadlines with changing priorities.
  • Utilize Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable, measurable plans.
  • Champion a workplace focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to drive a zeroincident culture.
  • Work collaboratively to end cost improvement analysis and implement actions.
  • Foster a culture of early detection and escalations across the site to reduce cost, drive efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with Human Resources to drive a talent management strategy, developing a capable team leader to build a strong succession plan within and outside your organization.

Qualifications:


POSITION CRITERIA:


  • Proven track record in building high performance teams, leading crossfunctionally, developing and retaining employees, and driving organizational change.
  • Demonstrated success in driving zero incident culture, with employee ownership of EHS.
  • Knowledge of current technologies in manufacturing (assembly and fabrication), quality assurance systems processes and practices.
  • Strong financial and business acumen; prior profit and loss responsibility required.
  • Knowledge and experience with process tools such as profit planning, strategic planning, Value Cycle, ProLaunch, Lean System/Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management, Fixed Capital Optimization, Quality Systems, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes (ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Strong collaborative skills with the proven ability to drive change and leadership ownership/accountability.
  • Proven track record of working in a complex, highly matrixed work environment.
  • Ability to work with sense of urgency and biased towards action

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a manager of people
  • Fluency in Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to direct and lead crossfunctional process improvement teams
  • Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management
  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational changes
  • Specific experience with deploying manufacturing automation technology
  • Experience with SAP
