Central point of contact for suppliers for plant functions and global purchasing organization.
Active development and support of global supplier strategies.
Negotiate longterm agreements encompassing all commercial terms like incoterms, payment terms, long term productivity reductions, etc.
Research and identify new potential suppliers.
Monitor and understand current market conditions and react accordingly.
Prepare and send RFQ/RFIs for commodity projects.
Knowledge of contractual and legal aspects
Maintain consistent communication with suppliers to ensure RFQ timelines are met.
Selfreliant individual managing daytoday and strategic activities to ensure quality/cost/delivery.
Good understanding of business practices, market dynamics and trends.
Evaluate blocked invoices and resolve discrepancies related to price or quantity differences.
Will report directly to corporate purchasing but will be located in the Cortazar, Mexico.

Fluent English
College degree
Strong procurement background
Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing purchasing environment, preferably in automotive.
Able to travel to the US and other countries as required.
Strong operational and analytical skills with high attention to details.
Experience with a MRP system

$1,000.00 per day
