We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
Head of North America WPB Operations
.


As a Head of North America WPB Service Operations, innovate, build and transform service operations capabilities of WPB IT teams.

Responsible for overseeing the process (and act as the escalation point) of recovering technology delivered production services from a disrupted state as quickly as possible.

Ensure HSBC global and local service management best practices are applied and adhered to. Identify, plan, implement service resiliency gaps to improve IT service availability of Canada, US and Mexico services. Build service observability capabilities to detect service anomalies before they impact customers.

Collaborate globally with Europe and AP regions to ensure follow the sun model service operation capabilities are built and be available 24x7 for IT escalations and represent critical IT service failures at Management Execution Calls (MEC).

Lead multi skilled site reliability engineers, incident commander and liaison officers


Principal Accountabilities

  • Trusted partnership with country CIO / IT Leadership team to improve IT service availability and stability of the strategic Wealth & Personal Banking services across Canada, US & Mexico.
  • Accountable for quickest service recovery in case of an incident and driving proper and prompt business and IT stakeholder's communication, root cause identification and remediation actions
  • Build and enhance future state operations skills to improve service resilience and automate service recovery
Requirements


Requirements:


  • ITIL Expert, DevOps Master and knowhow of SRE principles
  • Techno functional WPB service & infrastructure knowledge with proven experience of recovering critical IT service
