Job Requirements

Chubb seeks a Senior Network Security Engineer with 8+ years of experience and knowledge in developing network security solutions.

The individual will possess a strong understanding of Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco solutions.

The engineer will be able to identify network security related risks and issues, and design appropriate controls and policy to mitigate.

The position roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Establish global standards and design patterns for network security solutions.
Analyze network diagrams and traffic patterns to determine security appliance placement.
Work with network engineering teams on integration of security solutions into existing networks.
Develop policies and rule sets to mitigate risks and address functional requirements.
Manage the technical execution of consultants working on network security projects.
Establish role and responsibility matrices and work with teams to transition technologies to operations.

Technical Experience:

Expertise and direct support experience with several of the following technologies:
Strong understanding of network segmentation concepts, the Zero Trust security model and related security controls.
Experience implementing multi-tier DMZs with firewalls and other segmentation controls.
Firewall analysis and policy development management experience with Palo Alto and Cisco.
Integration and automation experience including Palo Alto Minemeld.
Knowledgeable on routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
Experience with Cisco switches and routers.
Working knowledge of switch ACLs, VRFs, and VDCs.
Background in security and risk management.
Familiarity with Cloud concepts and providers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
Experience with Palo Alto Expedition is a plus.

Ability to create reference diagrams and network design documents for engineering and operations teams.
Commits to delivery schedules and dates.
Works effectively in a team environment.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into digestible diagrams and presentations for management.
