JOB DESCRIPTION:


Position Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the supply chain process at the manufacturing sites through strong systems utilization of the ERP system (SAP) through strategic continuous improvement projects.

This individual will be tasked with driving process standardization and improvements in the areas of distribution, packaging, and warehouse management processes.


Essential Functions:


  • Lead or participate in warehouse management and distribution related projects as needed to support business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT, Supply Chain managers, plants, process owners and SAP users to identify new continuous improvement opportunities and execute agreed upon projects within supply chain.
  • Support SAP Expert User Groups by training, investigating SAP functionality and process improvement opportunities and recommending solutions.
  • Proactively seek and recommend appropriate solutions and options to stay current with technology and industry changes.
  • Conduct training and refresher training as needed. Help onboard new users and ensure standardization in the processes and methods of use.
  • Drive improvements via various methods including training, testing, investigating new functionality, defining requirements etc.

Knowledge:


  • Strong knowledge of ERP flow and understanding relating to business processes.
  • Knowledge of lean material replenishment strategies and internal logistics.
  • Knowledge of SAP WM module, including cycle counting, RF functionality, shipping/receiving, material staging, picking, transportation scheduling and packaging.
  • Working knowledge of SD and/or MM module preferred.
  • Working knowledge of BI or other reporting systems preferred.
  • Automotive or trucking industry knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge about OrdertoDelivery related processes within supply chain (including logistics, manufacturing, finance, etc.).
  • Knowledge of various analytical tools to analyze data.
  • Knowledge of agile practice and methods a plus.

Experience:


Lead 1, SAP WM Process

  • 3+ years of functional operations experience with focus on internal logistics or distribution required.
  • 1+ years of SAP experience required within R/3 and S/4 Hana a plus.
  • 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Lead 2, SAP WM Process

  • 5+ years of functional operations experience with focus on internal logistics or distribution required.
  • 3+ years of SAP experience required within R/3 and S/4 Hana a plus.
  • 7+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Lead 3, SAP WM Process

  • 7+ years of functional operations experience with focus on internal logistics or distribution required.
  • 5+ years of SAP experience required within R/3 and S/4 Hana a plus.
  • 10+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • MBA or master's degree in supply chain management or logistics a plus.
  • Green Belt certification is a preferred.
  • SAP Certification is a plus.
