    A role in Senior Production Engineer means partnering with various cross-functional teams, managing factory-level activities and relationships globally. Product safety and quality assurance develops processes to validate stakeholder expectations, including guests, regulators, industry partners, and others.

    As a Senior Production Engineer, you will ensure vendors deliver safe and high-quality owned brand products by applying your knowledge of product compliance, quality, and regulatory requirements. You'll be responsible for proactive and preventive quality assurance and control, delivering end-to-end results through different programs.

    Your main responsibilities will include technically assessing and resolving product and inspection issues, supporting the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. You'll conduct calibration activities with third parties and determine critical processes to prevent or mitigate potential issues/risks.

    You will also have the ability to review data, conduct statistical analysis, and leverage data to identify opportunities for calibration, continuous improvement, and problem-solving. Your focus will be on reducing cost of poor quality, increasing efficiency, and achieving right-first-time quality.

    Additional key responsibilities include:

    • Validating factories operate with sound quality processes and manufacturing capabilities before producing for Target.
    • Partnering to ensure program expectations and quality assurance requirements are understood prior to production starting. Validating that all products meet safety and regulatory requirements and Target performance standards.

    About you:

    • 5+ years of experience in consumer products, preferably with a background in consumer product manufacturing, quality assurance, product quality engineering, and technical/engineering perspectives.
    • Or 5+ years of experience in consumer products (compliance/manufacturing, quality management, raw materials, and products).
    • Knowledge of quality tools (RCA/Fishbone/Lean/Six Sigma/Industrial Engineering) and experienced in line setup.
    • Strong collaboration skills to partner with dynamic stakeholders from multiple departments and locations.
    • Ability to work across multiple time zones, as needed, collaborating with global teams.
    • Proficient in English and local language.
    • Software knowledge: data & analytics, statistics, advanced Excel skills, general knowledge of Minitab, and some experience with design software for product design reviews.
    • Availability to travel domestically 60% of the time and occasionally internationally.
    • Position requires a valid driver's license.
