A global manufacturing company is looking for an experienced a Component Designer to join our team, located in Mexico.

Component Designer
Develops components (attachments, high voltage, low voltage and grommets)


Your key tasks:


  • Analyses and evaluates system, component and part requirements using relevant methods and tools.
  • Creates concepts for components
  • Conducts design reviews and transfers findings into product design
  • Defines test and validation plans and evaluates test results
  • Prepares and releases the bill of materials (""engineering bill of materials"")
  • Keeps own knowledge of component design and related production processes up to date with the latest technology
  • Evaluates product change requests and provides solutions
  • Defines technical requirements for prototypes
  • Identifies cost saving potential (using VAVE) and coordinates implementation where appropriate
  • Works at LEONI and/or customer sites
  • Participates in component projects from the design concept through series launch to the end of lifecycle
  • Reviews design data and releases engineering design
  • Supports technical customer presentations
  • Is the contact person for technical matters. Internally (project, opposite sales, operations,...) and as a service partner for customers and suppliers.
