Job Description:


Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables promotes analysts as industry experts and as such, analysts must be thoughtful, intellectually curious, and creative.

Analysts are expected to take complex, disparate ideas and distil them into simple, provocative concepts. Attention to detail and dedication to continuous process improvement are critical in this role.


Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain valuation models for renewables assets across the globe
  • Interpreting marketspecific government policy documents and translating the revenue implications into a valuation model
  • Closely track the renewables market and implement changes to valuations models in a timely manner
  • Contribute to ideation and process improvement for the rollout of global valuations
  • Collaborate with teams across the company including the Assets Data team, Renewable technology teams, Fiscal team and regional power teams to incorporate best practices into valuation models
  • Support Assets Data team in database maintenance of for renewable technologies related to valuations, such as: asset transactions, tender announcements, policy developments, etc.
  • Collaborate with other analysts to leverage best practices
  • Collaborate with LENS team to provide all necessary data in the format required and according to the project's timeline
  • Establish and maintain a robust renewable industry network
  • Check the alignment of our databases with official figures from public sources
  • Support automatization processes, data collection and quality control efforts with the respective data teams

Qualifications:


  • Proven analytical capabilities, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Experience or educational background working with financial valuations
  • Demonstrated experience in the renewable/energy industry
  • Excellent problem solving, documentation, communication and organization skills, and attention to detail
  • An engaging nature, capable of connecting with coworkers, clients and industry stakeholders in a wide range of professional settings including giving presentations
  • A deep intellectual curiosity about what drives markets based on economic principles
  • Strong listening and critical thinking skills
  • Fluency in English (Additional language skills are a plus)
