TITLE:
Engineering Manager


FUNCTION:
Provides technical support for the manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and tooling support functions.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Direct, review, or approve project design changes.
  • Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, or findings to clients.
  • Develop or implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work.
  • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.
  • Confer with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures.
  • Assure and maintain safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
  • Review engineering changes to coordinate design changes, correct process drawings and routings for modifications, and ensure implementation on production floor.
  • Maintain an awareness of technical progress in production processes, tooling methods, and equipment to seek improvements to production delivery.
  • Recommend and coordinate implementation of product and process changes to reduce costs/or improve manufacturability and product quality.
  • Responsible for any other special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' working experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Selfmotivated and well organized
